Benfica win Taca de Pauleta in the Azores
Benfica traveled to the Azores to take on Santa Clara for the Taca de Pauleta at the Estadio Joao Paulo II in Sao Miguel Island. Benfica with a water downed roster due to International duties for many players jumped to an early lead when Keirrison scored at the 35th minute mark but Santa Clara were up to the task and Leandro Tatu scored to bring the game even at the 51st minute mark.
