FIFA World Player of the Year 2009 Shortlist
The 23 member shortlist for the 2009 FIFA World Player of the Year award has been announced. The winner will be announced on December 21, 2009. Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Fernando Torres, who finished first, second and third respectively last year, are also in the running for this year's award.
