Maurice Edu who played so well in his first season with the Gers was the target of racial abuse by his own club supporters as he exited the stadium after the match against Unirea Urziceni.

Edu did not even play as Rangers imploded under a barrage of own goals in a 4-1 loss to Unirea in a CL group stage match.
