Gareth Southgate sacked

The win over Derby did not save Southgate's job who was sacked hours later by chairman Steve Gibson. Boro are fourth in the Championship table a point behind West Brom.

It would have appear that Southgate had managed some breathing space with the Derby win stopping a three game losing streak at home but obviously Steve Gibson had other ideas.
