US into World Cup
Last night down in Honduras, the US qualified for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa with a 3-2 win over Honduras. After a scoreless first half the US fell behind in the 47th minute via a Julio Leon free kick. The US came back with 3 unanswered goals, two by forward Conor Casey, who got a surprise start ahead of Jozy Altidore.
