Cut in night flights at Southend Airport
New controls for Southend Airport have been agreed by Southend and Rochford councils, after
residents voiced concerns about plans to increase the number of flights over the area. If proposed
expansion plans happen, then operators will be forced to cut the number of night flights by 87%
from a proposed 900 a month to just 120.
