Lee Barnard scored twice as Southend United halted their losing streak to beat Stockport at Edgeley Park.

In a game played in high winds and on a bobbly pitch, both sides failed to assert their authority in the first half. Franck Moussa had a couple of chances but was thwarted on each occasion.
