What happened to the Soul of Sol?

In recent times he is probably our favourite player with a Spurs connection. 2 league titles, 3 FA Cups and a couple of Community Shield victories. Don't tell me that the latter doesn't count, because to play that you need to win the league or the FA Cup or finish 2nd.
