It's the first game of Arsenal's Carling Cup campaign. As always, Arsene Wenger opts to start with a young side although Philippe Senderos and Mikael Silvestre will provide experience at the back. Although on the bench, Carlos Vela makes his first appearance of the season after the Gold Cup injury and it's great news for the Gunners to have him back.
