Chelsea 1-0 Porto French striker Nicolas Anelka's second-half goal maintained Carlo Ancelotti's unbeaten streak as Chelsea manager. A through-ball from Salomon Kalou gave Anelka a clean run for a one-on-one with goalkeeper Helton who saved the striker's first effort but the follow-up shot gave the Londoners the lead and a winning start in the Champions League.
