The U.S. Men's National Team played (and won) their first game in Cuba in over 60 years (ASN, Sept. 7, 2008).

In rainy, muddy conditions at Havana's Estadio Pedro Marrero, Clint Dempsey got the only goal of the match in the 40th minute, assisted by Brian Ching. Only six of the players who started the game for the U.
