Chelsea Banned From Signing Players In Next 2 Transfer Windows
Chelsea have been banned from signing players in the next 2 transfer windows after apparently "tapping up" Gael Kakuta when they signed him from French side Lens in 2007. They have also been made to pay £682,000 compensation. Gael Kakuta has also been banned from playing for 4 months.
Sounds like Chelsea have been harshly treated here, it seems that "tapping up" is common place nowadays, and perhaps UEFA are just trying to punish Chelsea because of the clubs dealings with them in the past.
