Expansion MLS franchise Seattle Sounders FC got their first championship on Wednesday night with a 2-1 victory over defending champions D.C. United in the U.S. Open Cup final at RFK Stadium. Fredy Montero and substitute Roger Levesque scored second half goals for the guests while Clyde Simms got a late goal for D.
