First blood to Arsenal in Battle of Britain tie



Arsenal will take a 2-0 lead to The Emirates after beating Celtic 2-0 at Parkhead.
After an Arshavin effort was ruled out for offside. A wicked William Gallas deflection of his back from a Fabregas freekick, gave the Gooners the lead, and then a second half Gary Caldwell own goal doubled their lead, leaving an up-hill task for Celtic in the second leg.
