Italy fans to get ID badges
Fans wishing to support their team at away matches will need ID badges next season in Italy.
This goes into effect on January 1, 2010 according to Interior Minister Roberto Maroni. For -- what
else? -- anti-hooliganism measures:
The government believes the initiative will make it easier to police matches and track down trouble makers, as part of their bid to combat hooliganism in Italian soccer.
