Arsene Wenger says “not seeing” certain incidents was only to protect his players

Arsene Wenger's objective view when his players were subject of controversial incidents has been doubted in a number of occasions. Yesterday, the Frenchman admitted that he was not always sincere when providing his opinion on such episodes.

The Frenchman said:

At times I saw it, and I said I didn't to protect the player.
