Man United Striker Wayne Rooney Is Not Jealous of Crazy Spending City Rivals!
Wayne Rooney has dismissed suggestions that Manchester United could suffer from refusing to slug it out with Real Madrid and Manchester City at the top of the spending charts this summer.
Spain's capital club and United's cross-city rivals have pushed the boundaries during the close-season by shelling out vast fortunes in a bid to revive their fortunes but Rooney is convinced manager Sir Alex Ferguson's pragmatic approach to spending only a fraction of the £80m received from the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo provided a touch of reality in a summer of madness.
