MLS All-Stars: Everton Win On Penalties
Opting not to clear their bench, Everton took the 2009 MLS All-Star Game on penalties after drawing 1-1 in regulation Wednesday night at Rio Tinto Stadium. Though the All-Stars remain unbeaten in regulation by foreign clubs, the real story of the night was the play of Everton and US National Team keeper Tim Howard.
