UPDATE: According to ESPN Soccernet, Marca is reporting that a deal is close involving Liverpool defender Alvaro Arbeloa and Real Madrid. Arbeloa said,
"At present I am only focused on Liverpool but it is true that (the deal) is nearly completed .
