What happened to Sheva?

It is one of the mysteries that I and fellow non-footballing folk will never comprehend. How a player can go from world beater to unwanted cast-off in such a short space of time.

One such player is Andrei Shevchenko. Prolific at Dynamo Kiev alongside Sergei Rebrov (Spurs fans shudder at the memory) he helped the Ukrainian side to five league titles and a Champions League semi-final before joining AC Milan in 1999.
