US Open Cup Final Could Use Some Controversy
by Jason Davis - Match Fit USA
The Seattle Sounders, in their first year as a top-flight club, will take on defending trophy
holder DC United in the final of the US Open Cup on September 2nd. If Seattle manages a victory,
they will be the first expansion club to win the Cup since the Chicago Fire in 1998; if DC United
can complete their run, they'll be the first team to repeat since 1983.
