Real Madrid Eager To Conclude €36m Deal For Liverpool's Xabi Alonso

Real Madrid have sent representatives to England to conclude the transfer of Xabi Alonso from Liverpool.

The saga has played out all summer, but Los Merengues finally appear to be closing in on their man.

According to Sport, Madrid have sent representatives to Merseyside to seal the deal, with the intention of paying €36 million for Alonso's services.
