Today in Tampa Soccer History

July 18, 1977 - Forward Adrian Alston was loaned by the Tampa Bay Rowdies to the Canberra City Soccer Club in Australia. The move was to allow Alston to participate in Australia's qualifying campaign for the 1978 World Cup. Adrian made 62 appearances for Australia during his career scoring 17 goals in the process.
