Liverpool Look To Aquilani

Alberto Aquilani could be Liverpool's replacement for Xabi Alonso, but Roma won't part with him for less than £18m.

The Reds are looking at alternatives after Xabi Alonso reportedly requested a transfer to Real Madrid this week.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Rafa Benitez has already sent his men to ask Roma about Aquilani's availability.
