Coach quits after just a month because of death threats
Another crazy story from the world of Columbian football.
Santa Fe coach Ruben Israel resigned and left Colombia on Monday after being threatened with death
if he did not keep a particular player in his squad.
The 51-year-old Uruguayan, who had not even coached them in a competitive game yet, said he had
received calls on his mobile from a man claiming to be a member of the hardcore Santa Fe fanbase
and demanding that central defender Francisco Najera should be a part of his squad.
