According to Peter O'Rourke at Sky Sports News, Roma defender Philippe Mexes' agent stated that Chelsea have not made any bid or contact with his client. Olivier Joanneaux said,

"I have seen the rumours linking Philippe with Chelsea, but I have heard nothing .
