The FIFA Confederations Cup is down to the semifinals with Spain taking on the United States and Brazil against hosts South Africa. The tournament is a warm-up for next year's FIFA World Cup Finals as most of the semifinalists should qualify. Spain easily made the semifinals, winning all three of their group matches, while South Africa had a win and a draw to qualify.
