NEWBURGH, NY – The Hudson Valley Quickstrike Lady Blues persevered to pull out a 1-0 victory over the Connecticut Passion on Friday night at Academy Field on the campus of Newburgh Free Academy.

Brittany Taylor scored the game's only goal in the 56th minute when she settled an Ashleigh Gunning corner kick and placed the ball into the upper netting of the goal.
