Newshound: Burns wants Socceroos World Cup spot
PERTH Glory midfielder Jacob Burns has vowed to fight for a place with the Socceroos squad in next
year's World Cup in South Africa.
While Australian head coach Pim Verbeek has made it clear of his preference for overseas-based
Socceroos in the past, Burns didn't feel a return to Australia would be bad for his World Cup
hopes.
