Mike Ashley turns down Shearer statue

bronze statue of Alan Shearer.
The project to build £65,000-a-piece bronze statues of Shearer and legendary striker Jackie Milburn was commissioned by former chairman Freddy Shepherd but Ashley has not realised his dreams since taking over the club two years ago.
