DC United takes first place in East after defeat of Fire
Christian Gomez scored the go-ahead goal in the waning minutes of the first half and it held up as the game-winner as DC United defeated the Chicago Fire 2-1 at RFK Stadium Saturday evening. With the victory, DCU take first place in the Eastern Conference and perhaps establish a pattern of dominance in the 2009 campaign.
