D.C. takes over top spot in Eastern Conference
D.C. United handed the Chicago Fire their first road loss of the season and took over first place
in the Eastern Conference as they held off Chicago for a 2-1 victory Saturday in Major League
Soccer play at RFK Stadium.
D.C. (5-2-7, 22 points) scored two goals in the first half and kept a clean sheet in the second
half against a heavy attack by Chicago (5-3-6, 21 points).
