John Barnes out at Jamaica, Whitmore in

John Barnes has been relieved of his national team command a month before the end of his contract, and he appears likely to go to Tranmere Rovers. One press report (from the AP, of course) that I had seen during the day said that he had stepped down because he didn't qualify Jamaica for the Hexagonal, but the campaign had been lost before he took charge.
