With a 100+ FIFA ranking, the team is fighting for a chance to compete in the 2010 World Cup as the squad sits in Group 5 with Guinea, Burkina Faso, and Côte d'Ivoire. While a berth in the 2010 WC is unlikely especially with Côte d'Ivoire in the group, the nation still has a great opportunity to qualify for the next African Cup of Nations.
