Gibson stunner enough for United but Hull survive


Hull City 0-1 Man Utd

An under strength Manchester United squad managed to see off a spirited Hull City, but despite the home side's loss they managed to survive the drop.

Newcastle lost 1-0 against Aston Villa, while Middlesbrough were beaten 2-1 by West Ham and now means that both are relegated.
