Benfica finish off the season with a win

Benfica finished off the 2008-09 season with a victory over Belenenses. Benfica fell behind 1-0 early on a goal by Silas before Cardozo, Felipe Bastos and Mantorras replied to give Benfica a 3-1 victory. Benfica finish the season in third place and miss out on a Champions League spot. Benfica did win this seasons Carlsberg Cup, their only trophy of the campaign.
