England told not to be so “arrogant” in World Cup bid

Andy Anson, the chief executive behind England's bid to host the World Cup in 2018 or 2022, has said lessons must be learned from the failure of the bid in 2006.

Anson said other nations pointed to the arrogance of England in their presentation for the bid, as the reason why they were unsuccessful.
