Week Nine Preview: Drawing some conclusions

Eight weeks of the Major League Soccer season have passed and there are a few conclusions that I can draw:

1. Chivas is the real deal. Anyone still questioning the legitimacy of their strong start has nothing left to stand on now. Zach Thornton continues to be a dominant force in goal, while their organization at the back continues to stifle opponents.
