TFC and United in a shootout!

The two teams were involved in a back and forth game that saw four second half goals and a point saving PK for DC in the 2nd minute of extratime. The final was 3-3 and saw two leads vanish in a six minute span. Dwayne DeRosario had two goals for TFC as the Reds retained the title in DC. This was only the 5th time a 3-3 game had happened.
