Kinnick Stadium: Yes, We Can!
I told you two weeks ago about US Soccer's preliminary list of stadiums that could potentially host World Cup matches if the USA won a bid for the 2018 or 2022 Finals. That list is down to a much more manageable 58 now after some said "No, thank you" and a couple others jumped in.
It's probably not surprising that the 11 who said "No" were all college football stadiums, seven of those in the south (two others - Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Florida and Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman are "pending," but I wouldn't expect the USSF to be holding a spot for them for too long).
