The birth of Fire Alexi Lalas
American soccer can be pretty ridiculous. Our national team coach requires two defensive midfielders (erm I meant to say two-way players) and no more than one striker in all meaningful games. People like Thomas Rongen, John Hackworth, and Alexi Lalas keep popping up. Our domestic league officials can't decide if it's better to give our teams irrelevant American-sounding names or equally irrelevant European-sounding names like.
