US Soccer Announces Open Cup Setup
40 clubs will participate in the 2009 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. With the teams that finished in the bottom half of the Major League Soccer standings in 2008 currently qualifying through a play-in, the United States Soccer Federation announced the rest of the schedule on Thursday. This year's final will be on September 2nd.
