Suspensions and fines around CONCACAF
FIFA's disciplinary committee has rendered its verdict on the first round of the Hexagonal, and meted out the following punishment: Fined the El Salvadoran federation about 30,000 CHF ($25,000) for crowd trouble at the El Salvador-Trinidad Tobago qualifier, Fined TT's Dwight Yorke 5,000 CHF ($4,200) for failing to control his mouth when confronting the referee at the same match, Suspended Mexico's assistant coach Francisco Ramírez for the love tap delivered to the USA's Frankie Hejduk in the tunnel after the USA-Mexico qualifier These rulings come as no surprise, as the facts surrounding each case aren't disputed.
