D.C. United brings back Gomez in blockbuster trade
Christian Gomez is once again a member of D.C. United.
A year after being traded to Colorado in a mega-deal for the Rapids Designated Player slot, Gomez is on his way back to D.C. in a major trade that is easily one of the biggest of the MLS off-season.
D.C. acquired Gomez, goalkeeper Mike Graczyk, an international roster spot and salary cap considerations and traded the Rapids a package that included its own Designated Player slot, Ivan Guerrero and second-round pick in the 2010 MLS Draft.
