The Football Association have today rejected an appeal by Everton against the wrongful dismissal of
midfielder Tim Cahill during Saturday's derby game against Liverpool. Cahill, 28, was shown a
straight red card for a tackle on Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso and will now miss the Toffees
next three Premier League games.
