Llanelli start with victory at Bangor City

As the Welsh Premier League season began for 2008-09 at the weekend, defending champions Llanelli started off the campaign by beating Bangor City 2-0. The fixture was a repeat of last season's Welsh Cup final where Bangor City defeated their rivals but a repeat of the scoreline was not achieved. First-half goals from Lee Phillips and Craig Williams saw champions Llanelli win their match at the Citizens.
