The events of the last 48 hours have been breathtaking for many Blues' fans. With an air of doom
and gloom surrounding the lack of signings in the close season, Southend moved with lightning speed
and signed three players in twelve hours and even had time to reject a bid for Nicky Bailey from
Charlton.
