Ronaldo Who? United Pay £28m for Bulgaria's Berbatov

Manchester United agreed to pay Tottenham Hotspurs a club-record 28 million pounds for Dimitar Berbatov.

The Daily Mail reported that Sir Alex made his move for the Bulgarian striker over the weekend, after an initial bid of 20 million pounds was rejected.

Apparently Old Trafford brought at 25 million pound "fish or cut bait" offer to the table.
