Ronaldo and the White Kit

This article from Sky news it is reported that Ronaldo prefers to wear a white kit. The gist of the article is that Ronaldo was referring to Real Madrid when he was actually referring to the Portugal national second kit. What about Man Utd's white kit? Is this just poor reporting or is Ronaldo loosing the plot?
