Foreigner Overload in Scandinavia

While the Scandinavian leagues have become a popular destination for American and MLS talent (see here, here, and here), some Scandinavians are thinking about turning off the porch light and drawing the blinds.

The Swedish, Norwegian and Danish national-team coaches have issued a statement charging that foreign players of average ability (foreigners account for 20 percent of the players in the three leagues, nearly double the figure in 2002) are crowding out young Scandinavian lads.
